Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch? Not quite slouchy, not quite proper; somewhere in between. 4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? No physical illnesses, but she does suffer from mild depression. 5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? A bit clumsy, easily tense. 6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror? She's very pretty! However, she doesn't see herself as such; she has a lot of body image issues. 7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Pale, and whenever she blushes, it's hard not to tell. 8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style. Brown, about mid-back. 9. What color are her eyes? Brown. 10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? A scar on the left side of her mouth. 11. What are her chief tension centers? Shoulders and back. 12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit? Lots of pastels, especially pinks. Her wardrobe is semi-varied, but mostly she sticks to jeans and shirts/blouses. 13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them? Loose-ish but still somewhat flattering. Nothing too tight, so very comfortable. 14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences? She works as a tutor at her university, so her job wardrobe and casual wardrobe are the same. 15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? Boy shorts! SPEECH 1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Her voice is somewhat similar to Leia Rolando's, but just a touch lower. 2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate? Quiet. She doesn't speak very quickly unless she's nervous or upset; similarly, when she's upset her voice trembles easily. When she's with people she's comfortable with, she's much more relaxed and a lot calmer, steadier. 3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Lots of modifiers. 4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency? English and French. Raised in France, she's very fluent. 5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations? If she's comfortable with someone, she might slip into occasional French. After she's spoken with her family, sometimes it's difficult for her to remember to speak English all the time. 6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words? She has to think about her words very often. She's naturally a nervous person, and very self-conscious, so she doesn't want to come off sounding foolish. 7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Eloquent when she's confident about what she's talking about, awkward otherwise. MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL 1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart? Book-smart with a smattering of street-smart. 2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate? Not too good at thinking on her feet. She's not a good liar at all, either, so acting really isn't a thing, unless she's really determined to hide something. 3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Intuitive and idealistic. She wants to believe the best in people, even if she's been hurt. Mira tries to look at the positive side of things, but that doesn't always quite work out. It's easy for her to get down about something, and when that happens, it's pretty obvious. 4. What kind of education has the character had? Graduated high school, currently attending university. She's in her second year. 5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about? Literature! She's also very passionate about animals. She would like to learn more about everything, but especially sciences; math is a no-go, since she's dismal at it. 6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert? Very much an introvert. 7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? Even-tempered for the most part. Mild mood swings; she overthinks a lot, but she never gets too snappish unless she's had little sleep. She's in-between cheerful and melancholy; she does her best to be cheerful, but acting isn't a thing she's good at. She's generally very laid-back, unless there's something she feels passionate about! 8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? Shyly, honestly. She gets self-conscious about talking to strangers. 9. Is she more likely to act, or to react? React. 10. Which is her default: fight or flight? Flight. 11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? ANSWER HERE 12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders?
